Eight-year-old Joe loves to draw. Puppies, cars, trucks – the brighter the colors, the better the picture. But mostly he draws pictures of his family, because all Joe wants is to go back home.

Joe’s parents are struggling with addiction. After a few painful years of watching his parents spiral downward and lose the ability to care for him, Joe is spending the holidays in foster care.

But Joe has a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer advocating for his best interests while his parents get the help they need so he can safely return home. A CASA volunteer takes the time to get to know the child. To know the family. To learn what’s possible and what the child needs to heal.

We provide a voice for Joe and other children like him. We believe every child facing an uncertain future deserves to heal and thrive.
