It is heartbreaking to think of, but child abuse and neglect are more common than we think. Right now, there could be a youth, or a child, being abused in their own home or neglected due to their parents' poor choices. Many children go into foster care, but the struggle does not end there.

Your donation will allow First Circuit CASA to recruit, train and support 75 court-appointed special advocates each year. Our volunteer advocates are assigned to the cases of children in foster care – serving a critical role in ensuring that no child slips through the cracks of an overburdened system. Our compassionate volunteers share their hearts with our community's most vulnerable children all year, identifying their greatest needs and advocating for successful outcomes to seek a future brighter than their past.

First Circuit CASA believes that every child before the court for abuse or neglect should have a court-appointed volunteer advocate. Today, 91 children have a CASA volunteer, but many more need our help.
